Hey guys..im not here to get som1 to do my assignment...i need elp with sources...can ne1 suggest soem good books tht i can use for my chem assignmetn "energy"

the questions are
-Describe Combustion in terms of slow, spontaneus and explosive reactions and explain the condition under which these occue
-explain the importance of collisions between reacting particles as a criterion for determing reaction rates
-explain relationship between temp and kinetic energy particles
- Conditions under which explosins occur and relate these to the importance of collisions between reacting particle
-relate the conditions under which explosions occur to the need for safety in wrk environment where fine particles mix wiht air

i hav already used 7 text books and they oni helped me a bit but not fuli...i asked teacher (hu is a bitch) didnt help me tht much soo if u guys just giv me a list of sorces it wud be very helpful....ps: i posted it on the preliminary section and "dreamerish" i can post it here soo yea

i got no idea... are we doing the same course...
i don't thing that collision would be too significant in the haber process.. btw who saw the 2004 question about the haber process.. 7 marks sweet as

This is Prelim work from "the Energy" chapter. Anyways, I found that the textbooks "Conquering Chemistry" and "Chemistry Contexts" gave me pretty much all the relevant information when I did this topic. But in short:

-Describe Combustion in terms of slow, spontaneus and explosive reactions and explain the condition under which these occue

This is relatively self-explantory, but I can't think of any immediate examples of each. I think spontaneous is where an object catches alight of its own accord, and explosive is your typical fire. I think...

-explain the importance of collisions between reacting particles as a criterion for determing reaction rates

Particles have to collide to react - the faster and more often they collide, the faster the reaction.

-explain relationship between temp and kinetic energy particles

The higher the temperature, the more kinetic energy particles have. The more kinetic energy particles have, the more likely they are to collide and react.

- Conditions under which explosins occur and relate these to the importance of collisions between reacting particle

Explosions occur when reactions proceed uncontrollably quickly, e.g. when the surface area of the reactants is large (i.e. flour dust and air - this mixture can explode due to the high surface area of the dust, so be careful). This means that there are many, many collisions of reacting particles that accelerate the reaction beyond control.

-relate the conditions under which explosions occur to the need for safety in wrk environment where fine particles mix wiht air

See above.
