Can we all contribute all the Chemistry formulas that you know of so we can aid others (and myself) in knowing what formulas are important. :)

e.g. volume of gas, calculating moles, pressure, avogardo's number and how to use it, mass formula, etc ... ??

I would do this myself but since i dont know them of my head or what they are really called i can't list them. My chemistry teacher is sooo b-a-d. He dosent communicate - just sheets. So it is hard for me to know anything. Sigh.

Don't you have the formula sheet yet ?

Go on to the Board of Studies website and its under Syllabus for HSC Chemistry.

n = m/M = v/V = c.V

where :

n= number of moles (mol.)
m= mass (g)
M= molar mass (g.mol^(-1))
v= volume (L)
V= molar Volume (L.mol^(-1))
c= concentration (mol.L^(-1))

(to ppl not familiar with this notation x^(-1) = (1/x), thus 'grams per mole' can be written as g/mol or, more correctly, g.mol^(-1))

i figured there was only 2..

c = n/v

n = m/M
