now the recommended textbook for regular first yr chem is "Chemistry. The Molecular Nature of Matter and Change, Martin Silberberg, McGraw Hill, THIRD EDITION"...however i am getting this edition for $60 compared to only $30 for the SECOND edition!! is there much difference between the 2 editions...should i get the cheaper one?

is this for chem 1101? i dont think theres much difference...the lecturer told us there might just be different page numbers for particular references. also where are you getting your tb from? coz i need it too

you don't really need a text book that much

if u r considerin doin chem for ur major etc, it's worth gettin the book...

even if u r plannin to own chem, u r better off gettin the book...
as to the edition, usually there r not much diff...

u can manage a distinction with out them...
but i recommend u gettin them... good value...

i got a third edition and i love it. i paid 50 for it because it was literally brand new. i use it for chem1405 VETS - i think all first year chem uses it

Get the $30 one. Editions are largely identical with a chapter permutation. (Unless they stress you have to get the new one.)
I have had me 2nd edition since 2000 in Chem Olympiad training, still works.
