Circle Geometry theorem qtn.. *imporant* (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I was working through a circle geo question and I was wondering if the following can be stated in the hsc exam as a theorem:

"equal chords subtend equal angles at the circumference".

Is that a valid theorem??

I checked the syllabus and it was not in there. So it must be incorrect?

equal arcs do...
the chord thing is a bit tricky, because in general, the angle that is subtended on the major arc is different to the one subtended on the minor arc

you can state equal arcs subtend equal angles at the circumference of equal circles.
phone the HSC advice line if you want to make sure

yes but in this question the angles being looked at are facing different arcs.
