We need to somehow stimulate activity here in this part of the forums, hence this thread.

So, fellow EE2 students, let your voice be heard.

Hello, my fellow EE2s! Just wondering you guys had any ideas on how to cope with stress or writer's block? The EE2 course is great in the way that it allows you to write whatever you want (as long as you tie it into Advanced and Ext 1 of course hehe), but I'm seriously getting a stomach ulcer from lack of ideas. Is anybody else intimidated by the level of sophistication the Band 4 works have? Or the highly developed concepts and profound ideas? Maybe it's just me.

linding, you're not alone, haha. :) It's exciting to be doing this course, but I'm quite nervous about it as well. At this point it's just all so uncertain, the prospect of that final product. And intimidating, definitely. I think the only way to cure 'writer's block' is to sit yourself down and force yourself to write and come up with ideas; hammering it out, in other words. Writer's block is really just a mental barrier you have to break through. Reading good writing and listening to music might help, as well - you know, things that inspire or elicit an emotional response within you. Anyway, good luck everyone. :eek:

ext 2 should be fun eh?

well, let me just say this;

the day that pornography becomes a valued text in the great literary canon will be the day i get 105 UAI

but having said that, the literary elite of the state would recognise that as a hyperbole?

anyway, cya around the forum

Hello!!
Like most of the people here, Ext 2 is making me really nervous!!
I kinda have an idea for my proposal which makes me feel a tiny bit better but i dont know if i should stick with this idea for my actual major work. I just cant imagine it happening -_- The teachers make this subject sound so fun yet scary!
Critical Response for me :D

g'day everybody
i had to basically beg the staff to let me do extension as i wasnt one of the nominees.
partly because i tried to do the whole ext 1 course without reading any of the texts.. and fell asleep in the viewings of the film studies..

I'm doing a couple of short stories.. or so I think. I'm lucky to have my proposal due mid-term1, so I'm writing and tossing these holidays.
A mate of mine's doing speeches. Real diplomatic ones, heavyweight stuff...
