I thought we could start a thread about 'classic' or 'famous' exam questions. E.g. what examiners usually put in etc. And exam hints :) Post your 'classic' questions.

:)

The schools make the tests themselves and will nearly allways throw in questions bassed on your previous assesment task.

For the multiple choice make sure u know your applications of the palm rule and grip rule, there is allways at least 1 question regarding thing like which side of a sheet will become possitivly charged relative to the other side, or what direction will the induced current in a coil be, or in what direction will eddy currents be etc.

In the mathematics section projectile motion is allways there.
For example, a marble moving horizontally at 10m/s rolls off an edge of 5 meters high. Calculate how long it will take to hit the ground, how far from the edge it will land, and find the speed and angle of impact.

Make sure you can identify different types of motors from simplistic diagrams and know the purpose of all of their parts. Also, make sure u know the advantages and dissadvantages of the different types of motors and generators. There is usually a question like 'identify two advantages of induction motors over dc motors'.

Also, most tests will throw you some questions worth 5 or 6 marks, such questions are only really possible with dot points asking you to discuss or assess something, and there are only few of these dot points so be prepared to answer detailed questions for those dot points.
