hi, i am new in this forum and i do not know what to expect. but i have a few questions i really want to ask regarding my future occupation.

I am thinking of targetting towards the specialty of a Anaesthetist and i have been reading around the forum, but the thing is that i am not sure am i really clear on it, so i hope someone can help comment on where i can improve and the best way you think i can go for.

Steps to Anaesthetist:
-Currently studying in College(Canberra)
-have a UMAT test, good UAI (is 99.95 even possible?) , an adult first aid certificate to try to enter USydney or UMelbourne and going for the MBBS
-have 1 year internship (A complusory working year that you get paid for after univeristy?)
-Head for specialist in anaesthetist?

thanks, and if i follow this few steps, do i need to go for resident years? what are they? And if i go at this rate, what kind of University and above would be good? i mean giving education that i am able to depend on? i mean those that really give me a good future?

Sory if i sound inexperienced in this field but i am not really sure about the rankings or the degrees of Medicine.

Thanks,
Sklefgh
