Clothes for Graduation Ceremony (1 Viewer)

Hey - on the off chance someone sees this in time. I'm graduating tomorrow, and have only just decided to actually go. I can hire the academic attire and stuff, but are there any unwritten rules about what to wear beneath it? Will I stick out ridiculously if I wear jeans and boots, or is everyone likely to be in proper dressy clothes with ties and stuff. Given that I only own one pair of Doc Martins and a couple of pairs of jeans, I'd like to know if I really ought to rush out to the shops this evening and waste money on adult clothes.

Whenever I see people graduating, they almost always seem to be wearing ties. Though I've seen a few with tshirts and jeans

Well I went and bought a dress shirt and pants. It's ridiculous how expensive it is to hire the academic attire though. $90 (+$40 late fee). Come on. I'm still a student you know.
