If they have them, what are they like at UNSW? Do many people join them?

I committed the sin of not joining any club at first year (save for SESOC where you're automatically in), but I plan to join one this year.

watch list:
kendo club (excuse to bring a wooden sword anywhere during class)
fencing club (not very sure..)
badminton club (excuse to bring a .. and scare people :D)
chess club (is there one?)
go club (this one too, is there one?)

And I heard the volleyball club is nice, as my cousin promoted it one too many times. The revue societies are also fun i think.

and here's a humongous list:

What's a CASOC. And also, what's the Gameplayers society? Anyone have any personal experience in this club? Is it any good?

I thought CASOC was Clubs And Societies On Campus, the part of the Student Guild that takes care of UNSW clubs. That makes much more sense in the contect of Minai's post.
