My fave garfield: http://www.punk_go.blogger.com.br/garfield - life stinks [resized].gif

Back on topic. It's true that most of the clubs/societies will be in full force during O-week. Here's my advice - don't join anything unless you plan to be part of it! I know I paid a fair amount of cash in joining fees during my first O-week and I never did anything with most of the clubs.
Having said that, you can have a lot of fun with these things. =)

Hi all,

Come around to o-week to see pretty much every single society out in force looking for people to join them.

They will be setup on the main walkway in stalls, so you can take a pic and join.

I suggest a sports one if you want to do some exercise, as if you join a society you will be more likely to commit more to it - and hence, get fitter.

Although...you do get the few people that think you're...oh... lets say korean...and start talking to you in korean, but then realise that you aren't korean at all - then say: "hey you don't need to be korean to join". Thats so cool I reckon - Go equity and diverstiy :p Thats what makes our uni the best in NSW... hence the name :)

After my hand heals, i'm heading for the Basketball Club

I might also take up Latin Dancing.

And yes, they ARE complementary.
