I'd say relevant work experience and improved job prospects are difficult to quantify into a forum post analysis :)
Those are good points, although I would argue that the students that are actually able to get into the Co-Op program (not easy by any means) are also the same students who are more likely than others to have industry scholarships and partake in relevant (i.e. not McDonalds, actually working at an accounting firm or whatever etc) employment (either vacation employment or part time) during their university degree.

Fair point but I think the coop program is a great way of offering work experience in relevant firms or companies which otherwise wouldn't take in students at that level and or for that length of time.
