Why is there little mention of Macquarie’s Account Co-op? All I hear about is UNSW and Uts’s co op scholarship. Is macquarie’s scholarship not that good?

Probably because Unsw and Uts are widely considered to be better universities.

if you had the choice of either doing a co op accounting course at Macquarie or a normal bachelor of commerce at UNSW, what would you choose?
Probably Unsw

A scholarship in the long term isn't going to help you that much. The main thing you should consider is what the scholarship offers you, if its just money and its not a large amount then its kind of pointless but if there are added benefits like getting an internship or being able to do a project etc then they become more useful

Ya forgot to mention that, when you do a co op accounting they send you to 12 months of internships where you get paid by the company

Yeah then that might be something good to do because often a big worry for people in their 2nd and 3rd year uni is getting an internship or some type of experience relevant to their degree. But I would also speak to people in the program because sometimes unis hype certain programs or scholarships and they turn out to be not what you thought it was gonna be

The accounting coop is a little less impressive in sponsors vs say the more well known UNSW and UTS programs, but it's still decent. Same benefits of getting paid market internship rates whilst working there (interestingly it's not structured like traditional scholarships with coop placements).

Tough choice especially since sponsor/coop firms can change each year... but more likely than not, I'd go for the coop route to get the experience which would be more helpful in securing a grad role later on.
