I dunno if you would find a direct service.

What about...

Coach from Brisbane -> Casino

Train from Casino -> Sydney (central)

Train from Central -> Canberra

there's a $125 flight from goldy on friday 10th....9pm QLD.... im on it...come and say hi!

Sydney to Canberra flights suck...they pretty much all go via melb or adelaide and they damn expensive too!!
The bus is ok i caught it a few weeks ago....bout 30 bucks from syd to canberra- Murrays.

I'm thinking flying is by far the best option.

I did a Sydney to Adelaide coach once - not something i'd like to repeat.

i've done the country link before, pretty good :)

we had someone come to newcastle (uni) from alice springs. they flew here and put their stuff on a coach, maybe you guys could think of doing that? it's annoying going around the city with just one piece of luggage, let alone enough stuff for a year. and it's probably a city you don't know, adding another stressor to that.

trains are ok but they are not very frequent. more times on the coaches. plus the train station is in the middle of nowhere (ok out of kingston) whereas coaches go right into the jollymont centre in the city, on northbourne av.

as for brisbane-fly! if you book early, flights are normally under $150. and way more convenient.

SYD->CAN I'd choose the bus because its cheap, runs often and gets right into the city centre.

BRI->CAN I'd definantly fly, cheaper and far more convienient.
