I want to go - but only so that I don't think of the Blues and Roots festival that is 1000 times better.

I had a ticket for Sunday lined up but I looked at the line-up and it was shit, so I didn't go.

Fucking LOVED it. Best weekend of my life. I don't think you would have enjoyed it as much if you didn't camp, the camping really did make it. I thought the island was simply amazing...it really was gorgeous, and while the line-up wasn't brilliant, there were a lot of great bands I hadn't heard of before.

Highlights:
- 78 Saab: THE best thing of Cockatoo Island by far. Their music is awesome and their live performance was even better.
- Gomez: I'm a big fan, so finally seeing Gomez sent chills down my spine.
- MGF: Do I really need to say any more? They're the best showmen/women out.
- Eskimo Joe & Little Birdy: Very good.
- Not seeing Pete Murray: Phew.
- The camping experience. Our tent fell down twice...was the purple and green square visual monstrosity that ended up being everybody's landmark when they were lost. Our area also ended up being known as the farmyard due to us spreading hay all around our tent and pathway. I met some of the most awesome people through a mini street pary which began as a little lollie party where we swapped M&Ms...and after a few people came over, turned into a sesh with a few guys playing the didgeridoo and bongos...best night ever.
- The VIP party on sunday: went walking with a girl from Newcastle, broke into some forbidden areas and then went for a walk up around the top of the Island and stumbled across a VIP party with FREE GROG. We snuck in and proceeded to get pissed...I woke up on Monday in my tent. YIPPEE!

Anybody else camp for the weekend? How did you like the festival as a whole?

I electrocuted my friend with a partly disassembled 1/4 inch Reel to Reel tape player.

That would be stupid, the heat of the iron would destroy the element, and you'd get nothing.
Not to mention you'd ruin my beautiful face!
