how would i go about approaching this essay question - "assess the view that the cold war division between 1945 and 1953 arose out of clash b/t communism & capitalism"?
it covers so much, wat events would i put into it?

Dividing of post war Germany (capitalist WestGermany vs Communism East Germany, Berlin Blockade & subsequent Berlin airlift), Marshall Plan (economic aid to any country that was anti communist regardless of whether it was a democratic gov't thus US was supporting authoritarian states & dictatorships), Truman Doctrine (US would aid any free peoples threatened by communism, this meant the end of American isolationism which no doubt aggravated conflict), Korea (US backed Sth Korea vs Communist (China & Soivet) backed Nth Korea), Iron Curtain Speech

Yeh i saw that question from a past paper but i would also include other sources of division like economical and territorial stuff and say how different ideologies were not the only reasons as to how the cold war arose.
