I notice that the program for a 1st Year Com/Law student is pretty much as follows:

Session 1
ACCT1501 Accounting & Financial Mgt 1A (6 UOC)
ECON1101 Microeconomics 1 (6 UOC)
ECON1202 Quantitative Methods A (6 UOC)
LAWS1052 Foundations of Law (6 UOC)

Session 2
ACCT1511 Accounting & Financial Mgt 1B (6 UOC)
ECON1102 Macroeconomics 1 (6 UOC)
ECON1203 Quantitative Methods B (6 UOC)
LAWS1061 Torts (6 UOC)

However, does this mean that Com/Law students must forego the two Commerce electives during 1st year? For example, for a Fins major: FINS1612 Capital Markets & Institution (6 UOC) and FINS1613 Business Finance (6 UOC). If so, would a Com/Law student be put at any sort of disadvantage when compared with a BCom student?

Also, I understand that you can only do one Commerce major with Combined Law. Is a disciplinary minor also an option with the Com/Law degree or do you simply complete one major, full stop?
