hey, can someone just confirm/correct the following.. if i transfer to unsw (from usyd) then-

accounting 1A = Accounting & Financial Mgt 1A
accounting 1B = Accounting & Financial Mgt 1B
business and statistics A = Quantitative Methods A
introductory to microeconomics = Microeconomics 1
introductory to macroeconomics = Macroeconomics 1

?

umm...i actually dont know!
coz QMA..is like calculus, matrix algebra..err..loan repayments and that sorta maths..so I dunno the equivalent USYD one..or if they even have an equivalent!

I love usyd's no quantitative methods, although it would be better still if they didn't make us do INFS1000

"statistics" sounds so much more pleasant than "quantitative methods" i.e. MATHS

trust me...maths is better than stats, MUCH better
u'll wish for calculus back when u go thru regression

well, unsw grads have better job prospects and starting salaries on average, and thats a researched fact..so I guess the marketing works

Sorry about reviving an old topic :)

What happens if your uni doesnt have an equivalent course to quantitative methods A and B?| (e.g. at macq)

Does this mean if i transfer to unsw, i have to do it in second year?

hmm.. would it still be possible to complete my degree in 3 years? or would everything be pushed back by 2 subjects? Is QMA and QMB a prerequisite for second year subjects too??

hmmmmm... just the starting salaries for unsw students is enuff incentive for me to transfer.....LoLz
