Hi, im interested in taking the commerce course at UNSW.
I heard from someone that you could do double majors of commerce but i dont seem to find the code for it in the uac guide. If i wanna do double commerce degrees, do I still apply under the same code as just B Commerce which is 424000?

Thank you.

yep, you apply for b comm then if you're accepted you can change to comm/sci, comm/eco etc. but you can do a double major in just b comm. i have 3 majors in comm/eco, but you could do 2 majors and a minor if you want.

Not all Comm double degrees are under the BComm code though.

Thank you for answering. :)

It says in the uac guide that just single comm degree will take 3 years full time. um if you do a double major in commerce, how long does it take? Im assuming, approx 4-5 years?

What do you mean by that? You mean like enginneering/commerce or comm/law?
I mean that certain combinations of Comm/other will be listed seperately. Like Comm/Medicine or Comm/Law.

Double major is just a normal BComm. The majors are areas of specialisation within the broad topic of the degree, if you're not aware of that. A double major BComm just means a Bachelor of Commerce with two areas of specialisation.

f you have to apply to the major seperately it will be there, if it isn't you just apply under the normal BCom and then once enrolled you just enrol in the necessary units to complete two majors. To get into the actual course it's just the degree you are applying to not the majors and it's the same length whether you do one or two majors you just get less electives.
