I heard from a friend that commerce at USYD has gone up to 94.9 or something. I cant get into the site for some reason, so can someone tell me IS THIS TRUE?!!!

If it is this is a sad sad day......HOW CAN IT JUMP THAT HIGH!!!!

I am quite annoyed as I got a UAI a point above last years and now hear I'll probably not get in......in case I didn't mention it, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
:burn:

I wonder if UNSW increased their DFEE intake for commerce. I'm sure they were quite annoyed at the UAI going down to 90 odd last year.

First time ever that UNSW has beaten USYD- I think.

Massive jumps for both, I swear..nearly 2 UAI points or more.

Nup back in 2004 UNSW Commerce was 96 and USYD Commerce was low 95s, but yeah it is very strange that the cutoffs could jump so much in one year, especially UNSW jumping by 2.1.

generally speaking, most cut offs went back up and some by as much as 7 uai pts

eg: Bachelor of Design Visual Communication/ International Studies @ UTS went up to 97.95... (Although it was like 99 in 2003~2005)

UNSW COFA's Fine arts regained itself back up 5 points to 80 from 75 last year.

Cut-offs went up alot this year........They are so unpredictable :(

lots fell too... apart from ones that fell from the high 90s to low 90s, i mean, you can now get into a few uni courses with a UAI of less than 55...

Serious? I thought that you needed at least 60 for CSP.

obviously not since some uni/unis had courses around the 50 mark...

La Trobe i think it was? Can't remember, but definitely was one uni who had several that were in the low 50s

Should've applied for NSW... they had artifical cut offs as people with as low as 85 got into the course.

I remember a lecturer at the UNSW open day saying that Economics would increase due to a cut in the intake of the course.
