For the common module, I know that you need to know your prescribed text for the hsc but for the actual exam, are you only meant to use the prescribed text for the essay or do you still need a related text?

Essentially, 2019 HSC students and beyond will only be assessed on their related texts through school-based assessment tasks. This means that you will not need to write about your related text in the final HSC exam.
