i have a bio assessment tomorrow, we have to present existing technologies and future technologies on both vision and hearing impaired. does anyone have any suggestions of what extra i could put into it?

yeah i have a friend who has a cochlea implant. that's an existing technology.
for future technologies: on beyond tomorrow it showed stuff on helping vision impaired ppl by implanting some electrode into the brain and they wear special glasses and it gives them outlines in dots of things around them. like their world's black but there's a line of white dots around a building in front of them or the curb or something. i dunno if that helps but it's all i can think of now

for cataracts the existing technology called 'phakoemulsifier. its where the lens is melted and sucked out and a plastic lens is inserted into the eye.
