no, acst ppl are now doing the easy version comp115 course with a french dude or the harder comp125 (if u are really smart)

vi9ilante, i think u heard him right however if u are doing an acst subject and u are involved in comp115 and do prefer it over comp125 and u did go to the right lecture then don't bother about what is written there.

i think this should be valid since i did comp115 last yr. :)

yeh academic adviser told me to do 155, i know my comps, but didnt do any previous comp learning in high skool at all. thought 115 was easier, thats why i chose it, but if theyre saying its pretty much the same as u mention ryan.... *shrugs* plus i cant understand the lecturer -_-

people seem to be confusing 125 and 155?

155 is the accelerated version of 115
and 125 is the subject you do after 115

comp115 is pretty easy. you just need someone who knows it to explain it to you. its a very logic based subject.

here with stupid
comp is prob one of the most useful things you will learn in your actuarial course. all actuaries use a comp - and most use some sort of program like profit, axis or moses, so its good to get a high level of comp knowledge i think.

its never too late, your an actaurial student so he'll let you in instantly... i think minimum requirement for 155 is like 90 uai lol...

we didnt go through much, turst me this is heaps better it's like a classroom for our lectures and he goes at a reasonable pace (as opposed to comp115 talkin about history of computers for 1 hour which is like hwat? 5 slides? hahaha)

rahul: eh, the stuff you learn in 125 isn't that hard, i mean i got the hang of it pretty easily, the only worry was the assignment

compare to 115, 125 assignments seems a lot harder, i spend around 2wks doing them where as for 115 assignment i spend probably max. 4days doing them

i might do it for my elective next semester...i dunno.

how hard to D it?

i got 69 in 115 from just high school knowledge. hardly did much work, except when shit was due. i want to do 125 as an elective because i find it interesting. but still want to maximise gpa.
