i wouldn't do 125 as an elective to be honest

its a rather hard unit to D, though i know one person that D it and a few ppl who were on high Cr (ie, they missed out D by a few marks)


you actually might want to do math135 as an elective

you did 4u maths right?

cos theres gonna be a few topics you would have done alreayd in 4u

the rest is basic uni maths like matrices and congruences

yeh i did 4u, but didnt do much work in it. and it was also a yr ago...

i've got stat175 as my elective for the moment, but still i'm not 100% sure i am going to stick with it.

hmm, its quite similiar to last yr's one
i'm doing it now for fun and its quite "mathsy"

i had a look at the first one. wasnt logically hard, but sytaxly harder than last yrs ass1, i think.

almost identical!!

my advice will be for those who are not confident in programming, start early cos you will do a few trial and error :p

ryan had trouble doing the normal part of the assignment :p

umm, Supra, look up on the net for the function that changes the datatype from int to string

Heh try doing animations/XML parsing/multi threading in java for the major project while they are only up to teaching for and while loops.

lol ryan is 100 times better than me at comp...i have no hope for main and bonus parts i have to wing it...FFS i dont even know what a loop is...and i did the first assignment :p...i dont think jigging lectures has helped me :( ...but i learn off the book and the website ND had posted a year ago :p

and acmilan : :p screw u i found all that loop bullshit in assignment 1 hard :( plus ur doing IT yall b findin this shit easy :p... actually i thought i had escaped computer programming by not doing SDD, little did i realise that we'd b forced to do 1 unit of it in actuarial :p

Supra: i can teach you loops, they are very very easy, best way to study them is to read heaps of example (lect notes, textbooks, and the net)
