Process: You will view an extract from “Blade Runner” and be given the reference to a section of Frankenstein to re-read. These two extracts will have similar content.
Question: Analyse and explain the ways in which these two extracts, though similar in content, present/portray different values.
Considering there aren't too many instances within each text where content is 'similar', what do you think we will be tasked with?
I reasoned that that they will probably have us view/read the encounter between creator and creation, as these scenes both tended to have at least some ideological substance behind them (particularly in dialogue between characters), and allow for a decent depth of analysis surrounding common ideas/themes/issues and how they are shaped by differing values (...and, also, I can't really come up with any other plausible scene. )
