we've only done up to graphs right now... proofs prolly the hardest part ... but i gotta say the most annoying thing is the memorisation of the names for logic... modus this modus that, conjuctive this , synogiglcxncbncvlism that... ><
Agreed. Helps for COMP2041 (though this has been cut from the course)

COMP1091 is a science subject.. but I don't recommend it. Especially if you plan to do a few 2nd yr/3rd yr computing courses... It's a bit technical for someone who doesn't like programming and too easy for someone who did C/pascal before.

COMP1081 is a science subject but it's almost just a waste of time in some sense, considering the fact you know quite a bit about excel, VB etc.

Discrete Maths is useless unless you are a comp science major or someone serious about maths and haven't seen the material before. I am doing it this term to keep the load light.

PSYC1001 should be good from what my friend said.

Dr tran doesnt suck...the other one does. :p I seem to find discrete easier with dr tran (unless the actual topics are easier).

Dr. tran's notes r so bad... and his accent is annoying...

David Angell is so much better... he explains stuff well

i've been in your discrete lecture, even though i don't do discrete

dr tran isn't that bad, he does have an accent but at least he speaks english and it's understandable

i have Angell as alg tutor, his pretty good as well, yeh explains things really clealy and in detail, but marks tests really harshly, not as easy as other tutors

no, I am a first year :D. Dr. Tran isn't bad...

Hmm.. I still stand by my claim that the well order principle states that every set has a total/linear order (as opposed to partial order) with a minimal element.
