I got an offer for computer science which I'll accept in the morning but on UAC I had a little note next to the offer saying:

Offer text: If you have not undertaken HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and HSC Physics you are strongly advised to complete UNSW's Bridging Courses. For information see www.unsw.edu.au/bridging

"strongly advised" makes it out to be vital component. But on one of the uni open days (the one a couple months ago) I talked to a guy who said that physics wasnt really that important and that he himself didnt do physics at all in high school.

So I just want to get some opinions on just how important physics is to the computer science course.

thx

If you don't plan on doing physics/elec for your electives then probably not that important at all.

physics is not important if you don't intend to take it on in uni.

Maths on the other hand is essential. If you didn't do 3u consider doing the bridging course.
