Given Acetic Acid (CH3COOH) has a density of 1.05g/mL and molecular weight of 60.052g.

What is its concentration?

use density= mass/volume to find volume

then use n=m/MM to find the no of moles

then use c=n/v to find conc.

Please do it. My chemistry is so out of touch these days.

Problem is how to find m in order to find the moles?

"1.05g/mL"

Can we just assume that there is 1mL of solution, so the mass is 1.05g? Since we are working out the concentration, the exact amount doesn't matter, only the ratio?

I'm not too sure actually. But it sounds right.

Assume there is 1mL, since the concentration is a ratio, not an amount. So:

m = 1.05g
M = 60.052g
V = 0.001L

Therefore:

Just put that into a calculator.
