When I used to work at Coles, there was a short period where we were all told that if something got spilled and we had to mop it up, NOT to put a caution sign out after we'd mopped it up out to warn people that the floor was wet, because apparently the store could get in more trouble if they acknowledged that there was a problem and didn't fix it (ie-just leaving the floor to dry), than if it looked like we didn't know.
