it is confusing, Seperation is the Executive, Legislature and the Judicature, and the Division is the powers of the Federal and/or states in the constitution.

division divides the powers between state and federal, where as the executive, judiary and legislature are seperate so as to decrease corruption

About the second half of the division, do not get into corruption, it is too specific.

The Legislature (the Parliament) and the Executive (Gov. Depts) are linked through the cabinet, e.g. the Education Minister provides another link with the Dept. of Education (an Executive). The judiciary is independant - there is no other link through cabinet or executive, the exective when bringing a case before the judiciary are treated equally to the accused or defenadat or private citizen.
