Would it be incorrect to say that H2CO3 is the conjugate acid of HCO3- ?

H2CO3 <--> HCO3- + H+ [H2CO3 acting as an acid]
therefore HCO3- is the conjugate base of H2CO3

I think word it like that and you'll be fine

@=)(= I'm assuming this is for an 'explain the amphiprotic nature of dihydrogen carbonate' question???

No, it would not be incorrect to say that, because it is true.

The statements:

HA is the conjugate acid of A-

and

A- is the conjugate base of HA​

are logically equivalent.
