hey guys , my teacher recommended me on reading more books to do with the chapter we started.Wondering whats a good read with the main feature of being satire ? what do you guys recommend

umm.. the animal farm.. i dont know who is by... i forgot.. its kinda really cheesy lol
its about a farm obviously.. and like.. it satirises communism n stuff..
the animals try to overturn the farmer i.e. the people are trying to overturn the leader.. thats the basic plot.. its definitely satire cos we studied it in class just last term.. and thats out topic at the moment..

lol, my first thought was animal farm when i read the first post. =P
yeah, it's a pretty lame book but if you understand what's behind it then it's pretty good.

The people who are doing Satire in Ext 1 at my school studied Michael Moores documentary's.

Hey,

im in extention English and our class had to do an assignment on a satirist and their work.

I immidiatly chose George Orwell because i had already read some of his books.

Read :
Animal Farm and
1984

They are both pure satire . both of the books have a background and Animal Farm especially is very cleaver once you fully understand it...

if you need further info, just ask! :)

im getting fear and loathing the book , although there is much drug use they tend to come back to people humping the american dream.
