I wore one under a dress to a yr 10 formal, it hurt like whoah.

My recommendation would be to get something that looks similar - a structured top with a push up bra and one of those bodysuit things for the upper body should give you the corset look without hurting yourself. I don't know what they're called but i've seen them at Priceline.

I mean, if you're going to buy a corset and not lace it properly, why bother at all?

I'm actually a huge fan of the traditional corsets designed with the intention of permanently altering the waistline.

They're extremely rare these days though, the ones that fetish shops sell don't really do the job as corsets are intended as custom made only items - hence the reason only the nobility really had access to them.

When theyre made properly and professionally based on custom measurements, all the digging and painful points dont occur...

It's basically along the same lines as stretching a piercing or altering the shape of a limb by banding - the pain is pretty much directly proportional to how fast you take it and how careful and gentle you aren't...

It can be quite painful, but in all honesty, has absolutely no reason to.
