Bringing your lunch isn't a bad idea it will save you heaps. There are microwaves on campus so you can even warm stuff up.

If you don't want to bring lunch, see the thread about cheap eats, it might be in the uni general forum. Chinatown has some reasonable cheap food etc but sushi is basically what I live off at uni.

Everything in Sydney now seems so cheap compared to London prices though! Argh!

You really want to get into a act of packing. The City is 'Crazy-Expensive'... Plus, you never know the quality of food.

I just spent a year of study in the City, and i would never consider paying. Unless you have one of the sweetest jobs around paying bucketloads.

Anyways, all you can get is sandwhiches, and junk. pretty Bad And Boring.

all you need to know is that at the tower cafe at broadway campus you can get wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce for $4.

Wake up earlier! Everyone needs breakfast!

My Alarm goes off at 5:30am, and it will take me 20 minutes to get to Uni. I really like to bum around in the morning :)

I didn't know ppl ate at UTS... always assumed if I was at UTS i'd walk on down to chinatown to eat lunch. But I guess if you eat sushi and BYO water from home, then you can probably keep it under $30/wk depending on how much you eat.

I don't think I've ever brought lunch from home since I started uni. I use about $50 a week on food which includes food, coffee's, easyway, etc. That's for 5 days though, so some of you might be going to uni less than 5 days I suppose.

There's plenty of places around UTS to eat, as already mentioned. The fast food places are always cheaper alternative than most places, if you're into that.

Kebab are all the off-cuts of meat anyway...

I don't like being in the same room as it. *shudder*
