hi, are there any special techniques on convering hardback textbooks? the binding creak in the middle makes it hard to get a good looking finish.

any tips?

I generally don't cover hardbacks - there isn't really a point?

from experience the corners get shot and the center bind get ruined...

anyway after a few tries, i finally got it done looks good...

and why the F*&k do book distributors do hard cover for textbooks for, carry two of these texts in your bag and ther goes your back.

another reason for the bastards to charge us $150+ per textbook.

hardcover textbooks are the way to go... softcover ones get completely trashed in no time

textbooks are best for home use, i've found that it's not really worth the effort of lugging them around at uni
