Our teacher said that there used to be a CPU simulator on the Intel website, but we can't find it :(
Does anyone know where to find a CPU simulator on the internet??

Hmmmm... Well i don't actually know ;) . Our teacher just kinda said that it would be helpful, and i was wondering if any of you other guys had used one. I'm not really looking for a particular CPU, just one that follows the basic steps we need to know for SDD.

Not quite sure how its actually useful for SDD, but one I've used is a MIPS simulator:

MIPS is a common processor for embedded systems. SPIM lets you step through your MIPS programs line by line, seeing the registers at work.

we had a cpu simulator to play with. It was on the macs. You had come basic machine code an you could see how it went through a generic CPU and see how the memory changed.

forgot what it was called though. Besides it won't work on OSX

Yeh i remember that. Its basically a shockwave or flash player that shows how a CPU works internally (ie how it adds 2 numbers) etc... It's somewhere in the Intel site...good luck finding it. :D

If you cant find it, i probably have it backed up somewhere in my computer...
