I'm looking for tips on getting into the Performance degree. Any generl tips/advice will be so much appreciated, but my current headache is song choice.
Are there any current/prospective students here, or friends of such people? What song did you use? Why do you think it worked for you? What are they looking for? What is on the "no, please no!" list for the examiners? I'm not much of a singer, so that makes my choice of which song even more important!

Did UOW just turn into some twisted version of Eurovision? Because it works on the same premise doesn't it? Sing a song, and if you win then you are overjoyed before realising 'what the fuck did I just get myself into?'.

Everyone WANTS to act, but UOW takes the view that an actor who can't sing is useless, and vice versa, so they do the two in the same degree. Sucks, no?

Yeah my housemate is a performance student and you need to be able to sing. Its a part of the auditions.
You also do dance as part of the curriculum.
The hours are pretty long but she seems to really enjoy it.
Good luck.
