can someone give me some pointers on how to improve my creative writing ? im all good at essay writing and critical responses and what not but creative writing is continuing to FML :)

Try the search function. There's only been about 999999999999 threads about creative writing around here.

Wow, I was completely the opposite. I could do creative writing but essays were an eternal mystery - at school.

There is a very good Excel book you can get to help you learn Creative Writing properly - Excel Essential Skills Creative Writing. Now there is a Years 7-8 book and I think a Years 9-10 book. If you are really struggling, then it may be helpful just to go back back to the beginning and practice the basic skills before moving on. You may find you only need to brush up on that stuff and then you will be flying.

But it is mostly practice, getting someone to read it for you who knows what they are doing, and then more practice.

nah it is hard, liek you have to 'create a voice' and all that rubbish blah blah..
lol no in years 7-10 i was good at creative writing, but now in senior apparently you need to fulfil very different critera .. oh well.

I never liked creative writing, but for my creative i just daydreamed until i found an persona whose thoughts i could effectively imagine that was interesting and i could stick with.

I don't know how else you could do, except find out whether you're setting, character or idea/concept story writer which my teacher suggested :)
