G'day trendsetters,

Just after an idea of drink prices on the cruise - are they duty free sorta prices or do they jack it up because there is no alternative? How much would I be expecting for a basic schooner i.e not a premium beer..? Or a JD+coke?

Also, the duty free situation - how much booze is each person allowed to bring onto the boat - if any at all? Or do you just do the old shampoo and conditioner trick - fill the bottles up with whatever poison you're keen on?

Any info from past cruisers would be appreciated, I'm trying to guage how much I'm going to be spending each night.

Cheers

No alcohol comes onto the boat...but feel free to try smuggle it in. They just confiscate if they find it. May I suggest they are going to be alot tighter this year than usual due to obvious circumstances.

Drink prices are average. If I can remember correctly a beer was $3.50 (its in a plastic cup, smaller than a schooner) and your bourban and coke, vodka, jack daniels, whatever were $5.

They also have cocktails, the Midori splices were only $6.50.

$100 a night is certainly more than enough.
