Multiple Choice: 19/20
Short Answers: 26/40 (grrrrrrr this stuffed me up so bad)
Stimulus Essay: 17/20
Other Essay: 16/20

78% all up, came second in my class, was really annoyed about the short answers I thought my teacher was overly harsh on some of my answers.

Riviet I thought you'd be 90+ for sure!

Multiple Choice: 19/20.
Mucked that stupid 'purchasing power parity' bullshit thingo.

Short Answer: 37/40.
Lost a mark when I calculated real GDP wrong, and 2 in the labour market section. I think I summed up my hatred for that part of the course when I wrote profanity in the question margins lol. Teacher looooved that.

Section III Essay: 19/20 - Unemployment

Section IV Essay - 18/20 - Issues with the balance of payments and policies to address

So 93% all up, nearly got 94% but teacher docked me for the labour market section lol. Deserved I guess.

Haha definately, been screaming about it for a few weeks now :)

I want to go to USYD or UNSW - they'd be my first two choices for economics.

haha good to see so many buddying economists..

Just a warning though...

Uni economics is mainly straight maths (as in finance with only a little bit of qualitative analysis).

Its only til third year where you can start to select policy orientated electives (which deal with specific market types, and get into the nitty gritty).

In other words if you like economics because you like learning about poor people in africa then its not for you. Economics is a positive subject (i.e. only deals with facts, not opinion).

But yeah I dont want to turn anyone off it, just give you all a realistic expectation!

But being an economist is an awesome job if you get into something you like.
