I think a lot of the guys here think similarly. Short answer was OK, though that sodium hydrogen carbonate question kind of got me thinking...did you guys get 1514g of NaHCO3 required?

Cool....I guess seeing as 500mL of sulfuric acid was spilt, it seems reasonable.
Though for a), I don't know if I gave enough reasons to get 4/4.

Virtually all of my option was replaced as well...Shipwrecks. We only did a) then the remaining 22 marks were replaced...luckily with questions that were ok to answer.

I said it was a base coz if it were amphiprotic, I wasn't too sure where the extra H ion would go...I might be wrong though :(

we had to answer the first 3 marks of shipwrcks.. which pritty simple... but unfortunately the 22 remianing marks werent replaced...my teacher hasn't seen the exam.... we weren't even told which questions we had to answer.. although it wasn't too hard to figure... i think???

So in other words, your exam was out of 88 or some odd number then?

really, would it align that much
I'm pretty sure that the band cut-off would lie below 85 if anything. From Laz's data, I think ~67/100 raw aligned to 80 in 2002 or one of those years that has been published.

yeah but usually cssa ones are harder, so maybe a low 80 or high 70 would get u a band 6

I hope that low 80s or even high 70s aligns to a Band 6...that'd be nice :)
do teachers predict this for catholic trials???

the way i've been performing in chem exams since preliminary... i'd be happy with 70%+.... that would be a massive improvement to my half yearly mark...

i'm mainly concerened with my ranking...

i'm currntly ranked last.... my class has 4 students..

1st is no where within our reach... but 2/3/4 are exteremly close.... this exam could determine my rank
