Imagine if people used Red Bull to kill themselves. Like, on purpose.katietheskatie said:that's retarded. omg ohnoez! red bull is so dangerous!!!1!11!!
if you take four times the recommended dose of pretty much anything, no shit it's going to have negative side effects. it says the maximum amount of panadol you should take is eight in 24 hours, if you took 32 panadol tablets you would be well and truly fucked. people aren't running around freaking out about how paracetemol is the devil and should be banned.
I agree. But those have specific instructions on them, and they are KNOWN to be drugs, and will cause negative side effects if you overdose... Red Bull is just another drink. People buy it coz they like the taste, not coz they're depressed/sick.katietheskatie said:that's retarded. omg ohnoez! red bull is so dangerous!!!1!11!!

If they were going to commit suicide, they would do it regardless if red bull is present or not ... Hence, red bull isn't really encouraging them to commit suicide because in the end, they're going to kill themselves whether you like it or not.vulgarfraction said:Imagine if people used Red Bull to kill themselves. For once we agree on something.Optophobia said:People's natural reaction isn't "Caffeine is dangerous. It almost cost this man his life. LET'S PROHIBIT IT!"
Yet that's the reason given for banning other drugs, even though opiates were banned in Australia not as a consequence of misuse or danger to life but from fear of Chinese gold miners.
I love coffee But overdosing on it = bad. I swear your body starts to work up. Never take coffee within exam periods in case you overdose. It makes you do weird things (like misinterpret questions, and question your logic LOL) and heart rate = not good :SOptophobia said:People's natural reaction isn't "Caffeine is dangerous. The chinese were opposed to it as well right ?Optophobia said:Yet that's the reason given for banning other drugs, even though opiates were banned in Australia not as a consequence of misuse or danger to life but from fear of Chinese gold miners.
I know, but it'd be a cool method..?beentherdunthat said:If they were going to commit suicide, they would do it regardless if red bull is present or not ... No. Not cool. SUICIDE isn't cool. IF someone is suicidal, they would be UTTERLY depressed/worried/fucked. They won't be worried about if they're COOL after they die.vulgarfraction said:I know, but it'd be a cool method..?
lols. But some people can take higher levels of caffeine then others. You should see lebanese coffee. lol. THAT is one thing I can't get over. It's sooo strong.vulgarfraction said:After about two or three cups of strong coffee my heart would just start to feel shit. You'd think people would stop piling in the caffeine at that point, but NO.
It was a joke/figure of speech. Take Darwin Awards, for example.beentherdunthat said:No. Not cool. SUICIDE isn't cool. IF someone is suicidal, they would be UTTERLY depressed/worried/fucked. They won't be worried about if they're COOL after they die.

Now that you mention it, fear of the Chinese (or others) accounts for just about everything in Australian historyOptophobia said:People's natural reaction isn't "Caffeine is dangerous. It almost cost this man his life. LET'S PROHIBIT IT!"

Fuck morons are pretty funny eh?"They say [on energy drink labels] don't have more than this much," Mr Penbross said.
"But they don't say if you have too much, what will happen."
