i'm desperate for some DISADVANTAGES of AC and ADVATNAGES of DC generators

i've got too much on advantages of AC and disadvantages of DC, so could anyone please help me out with the above ones.

PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I can write more about disadvantages of DC generators, here they are:
Disadvantages of DC:

  • Cannot be applied with a transformer
Voltage would drop over long distances
(therefore generators would have to be built close to where it should be used & with correct voltage)

Disadvantages of AC:

  • <can't think up of any atm>

im actually doing the same question and im in need for both disadvantages and advantages of DC and AC generators. My textbooks and study guides are hopeless. :(

well main disad of ac is that it uses high voltage and thats dangerous. Also it isnt portable...

DC:
advantage: smoother current required for some appliances
disadvantage: joints in commutator wear brushes quicker
cannot be transformed and therefore hard to transfer for domestic uses over large distance
AC:
advantage: can create 3 phase power
can be transformed to higher voltages for transfer with less resistance (power loss)
disadvantages: non-smooth current can't be used by some appliances

hope that answers the question ^_^

Also there is emr emitted from AC but this is not a problem with DC so thats another positive for DC.

this is from someone elses post here:

AC advantages
 Is easy to transform
Can be transmitted at high voltage, low current and transformed to low voltage, higher current
Energy losses in transmission can be minimised by high voltage transmission
Motors and generators have fewer moving parts so more reliable and easier to maintain
Three phase motors (huh?) powerful for industry use
AC disadvantages
Back emf due to eddy currents lowers power
Emitted electromagnetic radiation interferes with other electronic equipment
Requires thick insulation to minimise interference from other cables
DC advantages
Does not need as much insulation as it has no electromagnetic radiation output
 No back emf
No high frequency radiation to cause interference in other equipment or signals
Transmission has no energy loss due to induction in adjacent lines and metal structures
DC disadvantages
 Cant be transformed!
More difficult to supply to houses by line distribution
Equipment not as reliable due to sparking and wear across split ring commutator
 Sparking causes interference
