Hey, I do advanced English and I was wondering if someone can define this word for me. It is probably a really stupid question and something that I should have known for ageeesss.
What is an 'idea'? In relation to 'ideas' in texts. I mean, I know what it means but I oftern get it confused with 'motif' and 'value' when referring to certain things in the texts. Any help clarrifying this please?

An idea would mean the message the story is trying to get across. Think of it as a theme.

Motif is a reoccurring event or theme. It may have significance, or it may not

Value is normally a more personified version of a theme. It typically deals with human reactions.

Thank you so much :)
Also, would 'feature' be like language features - techniques used in a text? And 'form' is that like the structure or something?
It's the little things that I should've learnt ages ago that are getting me now, it's a pity I didn't bother litening in school until the start of year 12..
