You would be looking at a degree in computer engineering. I recommend UNSW, after all it is the best engineering school

Full name: Bachelor of Computer Engineering(Honours)

yea if you also want to head down that path.

your subjects won't be specifically focused on comp eng tho

it will also be other areas like power systems, signal processing etc - things you may not necessarily like

Nah i heard

Never heard of a degree called "electronics engineering"

If you happen to find one then compare and contrast with computer engineering and that should answer your question

It says here that:

Electrical Engineering: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_engineering
Electronic Engineering: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_engineering
Computer Engineering: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_engineering

--Electrical Engineering (Degree)
------ Electronics Engineering (Discipline)
------------- Computer Engineering (Sub-field)

So, therefore they are all from Electrical Engineering ?

not sure what ur asking

but all branches of engineering are somewhat related in one way or another

for example, I have a degree in mechatronics engineering but at work I do a bit of design work (mechanical?) and designing PCBs (electrical) as well as bit of research on materials/manufacturing

back to ur OP question, if you wanna do something like CPU design; the degree it matters but not necessarily the branch. ie you could be say a mechanical engineer working on new socket designs for intel cpus or a materials engineer trying to optimise silicon in the chip or something along those lines

What I mean above ^ is that more you move down the list it get more specialised.

So, only the degree matters not what you specialise in ?

Do flexible first year engineering and decide your major in 2nd year when u have a better idea of what u need
