what does relationship mean in science?, does it mean describe or just write in words, the formula for the equation?

V = IR

Voltage = Current x Resistance

If R is constant and C changes, V changes exponentially.

If R is constant and V changes, C changes but not so much.

Can't really think of a simpler way to explain that...

V = I x R
Voltage = Current x resistance
if voltage is constant, current increaes, resistance decreases
if voltage is constant, current decreases, resistance increases.

eg. 10 volts = 5 amps x 2 ohms.
if amps increase to 10
then ohms (resistance) decreases to one.

incorrect to say that the relationship is exponential, its linear

more-a-less:

if R is constant (which is relatively true in most conductors) V is proportional to I ---> this means that an increase in V will result in an increase of I and vice versa

i.e. V
I --> V=kI, where k is a constant; in this case, k=R

so imagine the graph of V=IR, R constant

it will be a straight line with gradient R passing through the origin (0,0)

you can also think of it this way:

V=IR ---> V/I = R, R constant

now, an increase in V alone will mean that R will change, but since R is constant, I must also increase to maintain the constancy of R (and vice versa with a decrease of V)

If voltage remains constant:
As current increases, resistance will decrease
As current decreases, resistance will increase

If current remains constant:
As voltage increases, resistance increases
As voltage decreases, resistance decreases

If resistance remains constant:
As current increases, voltage increases.
As current decreases, voltage decreases.

That's all ya need to know! =P
