hi all

could anyone who did this course previously tell me what's involved in this subject? what will we be required to do? what major projects did you have to do?

in the prelim course did u actually have to make anything? or was it just designing and 'folios?


i've taken the subject, but am not very sure whats involved in it...

most of your hsc year is spent working on your major, you do some theory work on designers and other design things (i cant really remember now), but that only takes up a small amount of the year, my class onyl spent a week or 2 on theory.

the major will take up alot of your time in the hsc year, but if you plan it properly and dont procrastnate then you wont be up all night the night before it is due. its real rewarding to see your finsihed work when your finally handing it in.

in the prelim year we made 2 projects (one involving plastic and another for disabled people), and did alot of theroy that helps you in the hsc year with your major and in the exam, like design basics and evaluating designs.

there is some other bosers who do dt, look in the hsc dt forum, and you will see who else did it.
