You have given your resume to a store.
After about two weeks they haven't contacted you, should you wait for them to call you or should you contact them yourself?
Or is that getting too desperate?

I personally wouldn't contact, because if they wanted you, 99% they would of contacted you. The only reason why I would contact them is if they lost your resume or something.. or that the person you passed it onto to pass it onto the employment manager let it get lost or something.. but that's pretty rare.

Then again, some managers may see your call as a sign that you REALLY want the job and that may be a plus for you to them.. but some other managers may find this a turn off. Your call. :)

i have been told to call because some employers wait for th ecall to see if your interested

I personally call after 5 - 7 business days depending on if i received any interviews during the time frame.

You have nothing to lose for giving them a call, who cares if they find it a turn off.
