I was just wondering if anyone was doing the development studies major and how they're finding it - I'm really wanting to go down to the ANU but was just wanting peoples opinions. All the universities have developed really different programs regarding development/international studies (ie. Macquarie's is run from the lanuage department, others just focus on one culture for exchange etc etc.) so was wanting to hear people's thoughts.

It's run by the college of arts and social sciences. As far as I know, no one from ANU here actually does the degree, so I can't see you getting much info. Check http://studyat.anu.edu.au/majors/ARTSMDEST;overview.html. Might be worth giving the office a call/e-mail as well.
