DFEE applications according to the paper this morning have risen by 75.5% at macquarie. I was just wondering what are
the specific impacts upon CSP appplications?- will the cut off rise? or will it fall?

When applications rise, and places are constant, then cut-offs might be likely to go up. However there might be other factors involved so its only just assumptions we make at this stage.

I remember, back in 04/05, they increased the number of places in courses like actuarial and the cut offs fell accordingly.

Considering MQ had previously not had any or had a minimal amount, thats a given.

As for impact, minimal.

The quotas for DFEE places have been increased, but universities need to fill the CSP quota prior, which I believe (due to the DFEE increase) has allowed for more CSP spots as well.

Which newspaper is reporting this stuff? Sounds like sensationalist bullshit
