yea i sat it to, exnglish was all good but maths was pretty tough.
I did bits and pieces of the paper, yr11 standard if you ask me.
I was the indian guy.
dosent narrow it down does it :rofl:

Well we/ you have a good chance if you can even it out wit your acedemic record.
and there only seemed to be about 50 of us tryin for yr11 nxt year so nice odds.

Does NSB do an ACER test?
was the test hard and what kinda things did you need to know?

No NSBHS didnt do acer, but ive got the test for Girraween on the comming saturday and they use Acer examinations.

English wasnt to bad, but maths was a killer, well for me anyways.
Basiclly they tested everything i have ever learnt in maths some how and at a very high level mind you.

lol well at least i think/hope it was about 50.

From what i have heard, aparently NSB designs the test to make it hard to finish, well the maths anyways.

I mean i heard of a guy who got into NSB, and he only completed 1/4 of his maths exam. Thats only 25% provided he got all the questions correct.

*Note, its only what ive heard.

People yesterday at the exam were actully very funny at times.
I rember this time when a young gentlemen asked his friends:
"hey guys whats a quadratic equation/formula"
His friends looked at eachother in shock of finding out they may have to know it. Group of four i would say.

At the time it was very amusing, until i sat the maths paper and realised how screwed i was.

Out of interest, what topics were addressed in the Mathematics paper?

Well thye had most, if not all the topics in the yr10 syllabus.
But the thing was the extent and level to which these were tested were above yr10 standard.

But as i said before for those of us who have high acedemic records and a good summary fo extra-curricular activities, we should be ok hopefully.

I did exactly that aswell, although i didnt expect them to test it at such a high level.

Silly really, setting a test half the kids in the yr10 form at NSB wouldnt be able to do...

I mean id love to be given admission there!

Actually and honestly im really anxious to find out the result and am hoping for the best.

Hey guys I'm from NSB yr 10


Trust me u dont hav to do extremely well in those tests, i no two guys who came last year and they said the test was damn hard as well and theat they didnt do well in it either. Anyway our scool isnt that smart so if u guys do make it next year dont think that everyone else is smarter than u. Frankly i dont no how half the ppl in our grade got into our scool
